The asylum authorities examine what happened, why the applicant is personally at risk and why effective protection is unavailable in the country of origin. Inconsistencies, missing evidence and insufficient country information can have a major impact.
I analyse the complete file, prepare applicants for the personal interview and assess negative decisions for factual and legal errors. In an appeal, I connect the individual account with current country information and the applicable protection grounds.
