THOROUGH CASE ASSESSMENT
What matters?
The municipality examines identity, civil status, foreign documents and whether the partners genuinely intend to form a lasting relationship. Interviews, police checks and advice from the public prosecutor may form part of the investigation. Missing documents or inconsistent statements can lead to delay or refusal.
I review the documents and procedure, help the couple prepare carefully for an investigation and follow up with the municipality. After a refusal, I analyse the reasons and assess an appeal before the family court. I also consider the consequences for a visa or residence procedure.
