What matters?
The correct procedure depends on nationality, residence history, absences from Belgium and the current residence card. Permanent residence, unlimited residence and EU long-term resident status have different conditions and legal effects.
I determine which periods count, whether interruptions create a problem and which status best fits the case. Following a refusal, I assess the reasoning and the available administrative or judicial remedy.
